How I Started Drawing and Painting

I have been drawing since I was a child.

My parents say I used to spend time drawing cars and houses in the dirt with a small wooden stick.

While attending classes at school I also lost focus, making drawings in my notebooks, and many times I was reprimanded by my teachers for not paying attention in class.

When I moved to Cascais I wanted to decorate the walls of my house with paintings, and when I saw the prices I would have to pay to have good works displayed on my walls, I thought it would probably be more economical to paint and exhibit my own pieces. The first painting I made with that goal was a copy of a painting by Joaquín Sorolla of children playing on the beach.
